How Long Does Law School Take ?
Before zeroing on the thought of getting admission to a law course this is the most frequently asked question. Here is the answer.
Statistics say that most of the people simply do not put any efforts to prepare for the LSAT. If you plan well and start preparing a year in advance then you have a very good chance to reap the required marks and open the gateway for a law school. This will give you fair amount of time to be conceptually clear and overcome your doubts. Therefore, the chances of landing in a good university are more. The relative time to crack the admission test also decides the duration.
The normal duration of the entire course ranges up to 7 years depending on the under graduation. Students have choice to take up 4 year UG course or a 3 year UG course. The law course is of 3 years. So if the under graduate course is of four years, the completion of the course will take 7 years. However, if the undergraduate course is for 3 years the completion of law course will take 6 years. One year goes in preparing for the entrance. After the degree (LLB), you also need to do LLM from a law school to sit for the bar. It is a one year course. This is a journey of time, energy, money and dedication.
