How Long Does Probate Take ?
Probate is a common process in the U.S. to testify a will left by a descendant. The process of probate is an important one to ensure fair distribution of assets and property to their rightful owners. In case a will does not exist, it is the duty of the judge to appoint an estate agent who then distributes the assets fairly according to the law of probate. The process of probate starts after the person dies. Probate takes about six to nine months to get completed. The process could take a lot longer in case there are disputes among the family members.
